Lids for Kids Helmet Drive
Help us prevent traumatic head injuries.
Please join the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital and Cabell Huntington Hospital Trauma Services as we collect new helmets to provide to children throughout the Tri-State region. Lids for Kids is a project to help reduce the devastating number of traumatic head injuries occurring among local children.
The program will offer free helmets and education about the importance of wearing them to all pediatric trauma in-patients who need a helmet and to Tri-State children during outreach activities.
What: Please donate new helmets in toddler and elementary school sizes
When: Until July 1, 2014
Where: Please drop your helmet(s) off at:
- The Guest Relations Desk in the Cabell Huntington Hospital Lobby
- Cabell County EMS (846 8th Avenue)
- Lawrence County EMS (any station)
Your helmet donation will help put Lids for Kids closer to our goal of 500 helmets. Cash donations are also welcome for the purchase of new helmets.
