Marshall Health Network, ASM Global and City of Huntington officially name Marshall Health Network Arena
Thursday, February 22, 2024
Marshall Health Network, ASM Global and the City of Huntington officially announced today the naming of Marshall Health Network Arena during a special ceremony at the arena.
The naming comes after the official formation of Marshall Health Network, an integrated academic health system that includes four hospitals: Cabell Huntington Hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center, Hoops Family Children’s Hospital, Rivers Health; the employed physician practices, ambulatory facilities and medical offices of the hospitals and the Marshall Health physician practice. As part of the formation of the new health system, Mountain Health Network was renamed Marshall Health Network.
“We are proud to continue to support the city’s investment in the arena as Huntington and its leaders are important partners for us,” said Kevin Yingling, RPh, MD, FACP, CEO, Marshall Health Network. “Being a part of the Huntington community is a true point of pride for our organization. We appreciate our excellent partnership with the city and its leaders as we work together to advance medicine, inspire hope and serve our community.”
The new name is a continuation of the arena naming rights 10-year agreement with the City of Huntington approved by Huntington City Council in December 2019.
"The City of Huntington has made more than $14.3 million in renovations to the interior and exterior of our arena in recent years so that it can continue to be a hub for entertainment, conventions and conferences in the region," said Steve Williams, mayor, City of Huntington. “These improvements are due in part to the naming rights agreement that the city entered into with Marshall Health Network (formerly Mountain Health Network) several years ago. We are proud that this facility will display the name of a regional leader in providing quality health care."
The arena rebranding process has already begun and will continue through the next several weeks.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Marshall Health Network,” said Paul Bowles, general manager, Marshall Health Network Arena. “Their commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals aligns seamlessly with our mission to create memorable and enriching experiences for our audiences."
