David Quirke named Chief Digital and Information Officer for Marshall Health Network

David Quirke

David Quirke has been named chief digital and information officer for Marshall Health Network (MHN). His appointment became effective Oct. 1.

Quirke had been serving as the system's interim chief information officer since September 2024. 

“With more than 28 years of experience in health care IT, David brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will be instrumental in advancing our digital platforms and technological performance,” said Scott Raynes, CEO and president, MHN. “He will lead our efforts to make clinical information more accessible to physicians and clinicians and ensure that privacy and security remain top priorities.”

Quirke has served in executive information officer roles in Virginia and Pennsylvania, where he guided digital innovation and technology operations, and oversaw large-scale mergers, technology integrations and enterprise resource planning implementations.

Earlier in his career, he directed global consulting and outsourcing engagements for top U.S. academic medical centers.

Originally from Ireland, Quirke earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from University College Dublin. He has served on multiple technology and health information boards and continues to mentor emerging health care executives through the Health Management Academy.
