Team for West Virginia Children held the Children’s Healthcare Super Healers Virtual Celebration at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022, which honored our healthcare heroes who worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic. Hoops Family Children’s Hospital earned the 2022 Service to Children Award while members of our Hoops staff joined in from the Pediatric Playroom to celebrate their achievements with food, fun, and of course, a superhero photo booth!
Accepting the awards on behalf of the entire HFCH team were Michele McMaster, BSN, RN, Pediatrics and Pediatric ICU Nurse Manager; Susan Flesher, MD, Professor/Chair, Department of Pediatrics, and Director, Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship, Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine; and Mariana Lanata, MD, FAAP, Medical Director, Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention, HFCH, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
